Russia being one of the main markets we use Regional Dealer Conventions inviting Regional Distributors, Wholesalers and Retail Dealers to an “IMPRA DAY” which is a combined event for discussing marketing strategy and also takes the form of a social event for the participants an their spouses. This year the IMPRA Dealer Convention was held in Phuket, Thailand. 25 Regional Distributor Companies spread throughout the length and breath of Russia participated most of them with their spouses. This is the first time in the history of IMPRA that all five Directors met together outside Sri Lanka for a single event. This method proved to be very successful particularly in Russia and other CIS Markets since it provides with an opportunity for discussing and resolving problems face to face. The Dealer Convention also had presentations covering such topics as the History of World Tea, Ceylon tea, IMPRA Brand and about our company, that Sri Lanka is the first country qualifying as an Ozone Friendly Tea producer. Presentations also covered Sri Lanka’s seven Geographical Indications and the significant aspects of teas grown in each of the Seventh Regions.
