team having a strong family feeling, consolidating our current market

Quality Improvement Schemes
The company is certified for Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000,
Food Safety management system, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control
Points system (HACCP) and for Organic processing, Japanese Agricultural
Standards for organic production certification (JAS) and National
Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia (NASSA) organic
processing certification.
Quality Management System
The company has implemented a Quality management System, that is
continuously improved for effectiveness in accordance with the requirements
of ISO 9001 : 2000.
In establishing this we have identified the main processes and supporting
processes, in the QMS, their sequences and interactions.
Out sourced processes are identified & the controls established
over them are defined.
Main area comprise of processes, which are directly related with
accepting orders, manufacturing products according to customer requirements
and dispatching the finished products to the customer.
Support processes are established in order to help the effective
functioning of the main processes.
The effective & proactive implementation of this quality management
system has directly contributed to improved customer satisfaction
through minimal quality defects of the products and services and
improved efficiency of the process resulting in the expansion of
the international market share.
Imperial Teas Pvt. Ltd and Imperial Tea Exports Pvt. Ltd now proceed
towards continued improvement under the shelter of companies’
Quality Policy.
Food Safety Management System
The Company implemented and established the Hazard Analysis &
Critical Control Point (HACCP) Food Safety Management Standard in
order to satisfy the customers with a safety guaranteed product
along with high quality.
Food Safety Management System is driven by its food safety policy
to ensure the safety of the products.
The Food Safety Policy of the Company
The company is committed to customer satisfaction by assuring best
quality products at all times to comply with all the food safety
requirements to safeguard the image of the company and that of our
country.
We identify and control food safety hazards as per codex Alimentarious
and Critical Control Point System Hazards Analysis guidelines.
In HACCP Food Safety Management System all the food safety requirements
relevant to the specific processes are identified, established and
maintained to comply with the international Codex Alimentarious
Commission Guidelines and thereby to maximize the end user satisfaction
with a safety guaranteed product.
Organic Certification Schemes
The National Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Australia
Limited has certified the organic tea production process of the
company under two certification schemes for organic processing.
Namely, JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard for Organic production
and NASAA (National Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Australia
organic certified) organic certification.
The organic tea blending and packaging processes undergo the specifications
of the certification standards in order to maximize the satisfaction
of organic tea consumers with a pure organic product.

The Colombo tea Auction is said to be the largest Tea Auction
in the world, auctioning between five and seven million kilograms
of tea each week.
