| Plucking and Processing
Every fine cuppa begins as a fresh bud and two leaves of
the highest shoots of a tea bush, plucked and gathered at a tea
plantation somewhere on a cool hilly terrain.
The collected harvest is taken to one of many factories, where it
must be withered for about twenty four hours, a process which includes
strewing the leaves over a huge wire mesh through which powerful
bellows blow streams of air.
The leaves are next crushed, an oxidation process that results in
the leaves loosing their green color. Fermentation takes place next,
a process which will decide on the tea’s flavor. A final high
temperature blower is held to the chopped pieces of tea leaf and
it is ready for the next step to a perfect IMPRA blend.
Carefully selected teas are next blended by our experienced tea
blending team headed by one of the best tea tasters and tea blending
professionals in the country, in our modern state of the art blending
machines.
